About Our Groups
KVC was born from the peer support group concept. We offer both general group time *and* themed groups.
General group time is any time we are open during the day! The schedule for the themed groups can be found on the calendar tab.
Here is what we've always said about coming to our groups:
If you are 6 days unshowered, hair a mess, everyone still in pajamas? Just COME! Really!! Nobody is judging how you're dressed or how you look!! Our center is a place to come as you are, So Come As You Are... Please!
If you are late, we don't care! If you are new and nervous, we've all been the new one (and we totally understand that feeling)!
Lastly, NO need to leave the room if you've got a baby or child crying or making noise in any way... we do NOT mind. Why do we say this? Because the parents that have frequent criers are the parents that take themselves out of (or keep themselves out of) social situations the most often.
We don't want you to be alone. Just stay and play!
Come join us! Your village awaits you!
As a sidenote, we want those who come to the center to feel some ownership and have a chance to contribute to our mission. Once the groups are established, each group (listed below) will have opportunities to bring speakers in that relate to the focus of their group so that the center hosts experts that speak to the wide range of their many varied interests.

Our Center Is a Breastfeeding Friendly Space
Bellies to Babies: Join others in our prenatal to postpartum peer support group.

Born in my Heart: Come together with other families that are growing through adoption or foster care.
Breakfast Club: Do you feel like you never get out the door in the morning because breakfast takes so long? Bring your toddler and breakfast... your coffee is on us! Hang out with your village while your toddler eats and plays with their food!
Nursing Mothers: Come get and give support and discuss the challenges and joys of breastfeeding.
Let's Go Daddio: Dads, come meet other dads with littles in tow. Play, chat and connect.
The '9 to 5ers' Parent Connection Time: An evening group for parents who work outside of the home to meet-up and connect with other parents while your kids catch a movie. Pizza dinner provided!
Parenting with Pride: Come together with other LGBTQA families and support each other with pride.
Working On It: Meet-up with other parents who work professionally from home while also caring for little ones.

Discuss the process of IEPs and 504 Plans, accommodations and information about local organizations. Share resources and info you've learned along the way.
Singular Support: Get to know other parents who are raising children primarily or entirely on their own. Share in the experience and help to support each other.
Time 4 Me: An evening group for caregivers to gather, relax and learn about self care. Some nights will includes "make-and-take" projects. This group is for adults only, aside from infants that need to come along.
Rain or Snow ~ Out we Go: There is a big shift towards spending way more time outside with children and babies. Meet-up with other families that want to spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors.
Earth Baby: Come together with others who embrace all things natural... organics, cloth diapering, extended breastfeeding, etc. You don't need to check all of the boxes. Come if you feel like you can relate to this style in any way that works for you.
